چکیده
Gündüz, Güngör, "Strong turbulence theory with propagator method and the moment equations for Tokamaks " (1975). Retrospective Theses and Dissertations. Paper 5418. INFORMATION TO USERS This material was produced from a microfilm copy of the original document. While the most advanced technological means to photograph and reproduce this document have been used, the quality is heavily dependent upon the quality of the original submitted. The following explanation of techniques is provided to help you understand markings or patterns which may appear on this reproduction. 1.The sign or "target" for pages apparently lacking from the document photographed is "Missing Page(s)". If it was possible to obtain the missing page(s) or section, they are spliced into the film along with adjacent pages. This may have necssitatcd cutting thru an image arid duplicating adjacent pages to insure you complete continuity. 2. When an image on the film is obliterated with a large round black mark, it is an indication that the photographer suspected that the copy may have moved during exposure and thus cause a blurred image. You will find a good image of the page in the adjacent frame. 3. When a map, drawing or chart, etc., was part of the material being photographed the photographer followed a definite method in "sectioning" the material. It is customary to begin photoing at the upper icft uâfiu Cùmci Oi â \à(Op si'iëëi âi'iù tû ooriufiuÊ photolng from ieft to right in equal sections with a small overlap. If necessary, sectioning is continued again — beginning below the first row and continuing on until complete. 4. The majority of user^ indicate that the • Sxtiiai content is of greatest value, however, a somewhat higher quality reproduction could be made from "photographs" if essential to the understanding of the dissertation. Silver prints of "photographs" may ise ordered at additional charge by writing the Order Department, giving the catalog number, title, author and specific pages you wish reproduced.

TH/P8-42 Testing the Trapped Gyro-Landau Fluid Transport Model with Data from Tokamaks and Spherical Tori
The TGLF transport model [1–3] is a reduced theoretical model that has been tested with a large database of nonlinear gyrokinetic turbulence simulations using the GYRO code [4]. The TGLF model accurately computes linear driftwave eigenmodes [1]. The particle and energy fluxes due to these driftwaves are then computed from quasi-linear theory and a simple model for the saturated fluctuation inte...
متن کاملAnalytic Moment Method Calculations of the Drift Wave Spectrum
A derivation and approximate solution of renormalized mode coupling equations describing the turbulent drift wave spectrum is presented. Arguments are given which indicate that a weak turbulence formulation of the spectrum equations fails for a system with negative dissipation. The inadequacy of the weak turbulence theory is circumvented by utilizing a renormalized formulation. An analytic mome...
متن کاملAn Assessment of Renormalization Methods in the Statistical Theory of Isotropic Turbulence
For the latter half of the last century renormalization methods have played an important part in tackling problems in fundamental physics and in providing a deeper understanding of systems with many interacting scales or degrees of freedom with strong coupling. The study of turbulence is no exception, and this thesis presents an investigation of renormalization techniques available in the study...
متن کاملA Closure Theory for Non-linear Evolution of Cosmological Power Spectra
We apply a non-linear statistical method in turbulence to the cosmological perturbation theory and derive a closed set of evolution equations for matter power spectra. The resultant closure equations consistently recover the oneloop results of standard perturbation theory and beyond that, it is still capable of treating the non-linear evolution of matter power spectra. We find the exact integra...
متن کاملModeling of Reversible Chain Transfer Catalyzed Polymerization by Moment Equations Method
A moment equations method was performed to study the Reversible chain Transfer Catalyzed Polymerization (RTCP) of styrene in 80°C. To do this, a kinetic scheme containing conventional free radical polymerization reactions and equilibrium reactions of RTCP was assumed. After obtaining mass balance equations, three moment equations were defined for free and dormant radicals and dead chains. M...
